The objective of this project is to create a sophisticated data visualization dashboard for use during in-office client meetings. The dashboard will transform data currently stored in spreadsheets into an interactive tool that enhances client presentations, making data insights more accessible and visually compelling. This project will leverage Power BI, Google Looker Studio, or Tableau (using free academic licenses, if necessary) to meet Network Financial’s requirements

Deliverables

Data Analysis and Understanding

  • Analyze the existing data stored in spreadsheets from the previous extraction project.
  • Work with Rodney Tiessen and the team to understand key insights and metrics that should be highlighted in the dashboard.
  • Deliverable: Data analysis report summarizing key insights and necessary visualizations.

Wireframe Review and Modification

  • Review Rodney’s existing wireframe for the dashboard and propose modifications based on project goals and recent feedback.
  • Deliverable: Modified wireframe or mockup of the dashboard layout.

Tool Selection and Setup

  • Based on the chosen tool (Power BI, Google Looker Studio, or Tableau), set up the necessary data connections and import the spreadsheet data.
  • Deliverable: Fully connected data dashboard using the selected tool.

Dashboard Development and Visualization

  • Develop the dashboard with sophisticated visualizations, ensuring it is interactive and easy to navigate during client meetings.
  • Include essential features like data filtering, drill-down capabilities, and visual highlights for key metrics.
  • Deliverable: Functional client-facing dashboard ready for testing.

Testing and Feedback

  • Test the dashboard with internal stakeholders to ensure functionality, accuracy, and visual appeal.
  • Gather feedback from the team, particularly regarding user experience during in-office client meetings.
  • Deliverable: Revised and improved dashboard based on feedback.

Training and Documentation

  • Provide training to the team on using the dashboard during client meetings, including tips for customizing visualizations on the spot.
  • Create a user manual or guide for ongoing use and updates.
  • Deliverable: Training session and user documentation.
