Details

The book collection will be both an eBook and a printed book. It will be a compilation of Communication students research work that they have accomplished through their advanced research methods 4th year class and Independent Study projects. The eBook will include an in-person interview with each student research group, which will be conducted in the Communication Production Studio in Allard Hall. The interviews will be recorded using video. It includes two Research Assistants who have completed their BCSC 411 - Advanced Research Methods course. They will be applying their writing, communication, editing, and technology skills. This book project is being initiative as the first volume of student research which will be published annually. This book will act as a record of the research studies that the students in the Department of Communication create, develop, design, gather data, provide results and present conclusions about their studies.

Deliverables

The following are projects that the student interns will work on:

  • Managing Book Editor - the student intern will provide detailed copyediting, grammar knowledge, substantive editing, and APA Style 7th Edition application for the entire book.
  • Managing Design/Technical Editor - the student intern will technically design both eBook and printed versions of the book
  • Designer - Book Cover: the student intern will design the book cover for the eBook and printed book versions.
  • Media Relations Coordinator - this student intern will coordinate the Launch event.
Mentorship

The students will be supported by direct supervising and advising when completing the project.
