Details

During the Winter Term of 2024 we will be hiring 9 teaching assistants (TAs) for science courses. Each TA will be mentored by a faculty supervisor for a specific first or second-year science course (e.g. Biology 217, Biology 218, Ecology 318, Biology 360 and Math 251).

Deliverables

Teaching assistants will be expected to attend the lab along with their mentor; and will have the opportunity to practise public speaking through giving some pre-lab lectures, helping during the lab, and learn about evaluating student performance in the lab. The total time commitment over the term will be 80 hours.

Mentorship

Each TA will be assigned to a specific faculty mentor and have regular meetings.

Open office space for meetings, etc will be provided in 2915 for all TAs.
