I’m a fourth-year Business Technology Management student at Toronto Metropolitan University with a minor in Live Entertainment & Events. Over the past few years, I’ve built experience in event planning, stakeholder engagement, and academic mentorship through both campus and community roles.
Through Riipen’s Level UP program and Children First Canada, I helped organize The Future is NOW: Celebrating Canada’s Top 10 U18 Changemakers as event planner intern, which amplified youth advocacy and children’s rights. This work also led to me being featured in the Toronto Star, a moment that highlighted the impact of my contributions.
I’ve also expanded my academic journey globally with studying African Studies at Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar in Senegal, where I engaged with oral traditions, art, and local communities, and completing a semester exchange at RMIT University in Australia.

Awareness Campaign & Speaker Invitation
Ofori Beauty is passionate about promoting safe hair and skin practices to the BIPOC community. We want to increase awareness about the harmful effects of skin bleaching and chemical hair relaxers. We want to work with students to identify potential speakers and sponsors for our awareness campaigns. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with the social cause, our mission and goals. Identifying groups that our campaigns will target. Identifying potential speakers, sponsors and partners who can support our campaign. Drafting emails to invite speakers. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Assisting in contacting speakers.

Post-Event Analysis and Report Development
We would like students to help us with creating a Post-Summit Report based on our recent Afri Future Tech Summit. The Afri Future Tech Summit is a unique platform that brings together Canadian and African tech ecosystems for mutual benefit. This year we had our first in person event in Toronto, Canada and sucessfully drew over 150 people. We're an organization that is focused on bringing together diverse stakeholders for equitable exchange; we’re building shared value between Canadian and African stakeholders to achieve a more just and sustainable future. If you're passionate about exploring the exciting and impactful opportunities between Africa and Canada, then this is for you!
