We are looking for students interested in working with a bestselling author and illustrator to pitch new book ideas directly to publishers and create press releases. This project is an opportunity to see the process of securing publishing work and PR for an established author. There will also be other press release writing required for our company and clients. We will provide mentorship and guidance. Students should be prepared to: Help us refine our pitch and story to something compelling and timely Write up press releases around multiple news-worthy stories Identify media outlets that are most beneficial to us/most likely to pick the story up Send press releases and establish positive rapport with media contacts Secure media exposure for our organization Pitch stories to third party platforms and publications

Scrum Team - Project Manager
We are looking for students to play a role as the scrum team's project manager. A student in this position will understand the logistical aspects of the scrum team's projects based on information and mentorship from the We Write Stories team. We're looking for students interested in project managing the process of creating a book for a client from the onboarding to the finished product. Our main products provide a transformational experience for our clients while we create a book together. The client never puts pen to paper as we write the book. Consequently, many steps are needed to create something from nothing. Students in this position will be provided all necessary material, information, and access to software to overlook the scrum team's book project through a logistical lens. Students will help ensure the project's timelines are met by checking in with authors directly and communicating with the team. The student will play a key role in helping create a more efficient work process.

Professional writing and editing for books.
We are looking for a student with excellent writing skills to create content that aligns with our vision. Writing will primarily be for blog posts, email marketing, brand stories, books, and podcasts. We are also looking for students with experience and interest in book editing. Some tasks will include: Writing blog articles Editing transcripts and manuscripts Company manuals email newsletters/sequences and other content pieces on assigned topics Write web copy The student will report directly to our senior editor and will have access to all team members and resources. Marketing & Content Creation
Number of individual students required: 1 student We are looking for a student with an excellent understanding of marketing and communications to run campaigns for our company. Tasks will include: Content Creation for social media Pursue guest blog posts Identify media outlets specific to our services Create e-mail sequences and manage email marketing Publish content schedule Manage SM sites Evaluate recent successful user-generated campaigns, preferably in our sector Contact potential clients including education institutions There is a lot of room for creativity and input.
