Positions available: 10 students, individually or in teamsCareerin is organizing online career fairs to connect tech talents open for new jobs and tech companies that are hiring. We noticed that lots of companies laid off staff because of COVID19 but there are still companies that are hiring. Careerin is a new startup that's using videos to help candidates learn more about tech companies, their mission, culture, and people in the teams so they can find the companies that they aligned with. During the online career fair, companies will have founders or hiring managers that talk about what their companies are about in videos and they will have online meeting sessions with candidates that are interested in joining them.Candidates can create a self-intro video on our platform that can be accessed by the companies that they are interested in, so they can tell their stories in person in the video instead of being another resume in the pile.Students will help us in organizing and running our monthly Careerin Tech online event. Roles include: Event sessions host - Identify and recruit speakers to share career insights or other topics in their roles (HR/Marketing/Sales/Software Engineering etc), host these online sessions by introducing their speakers if it's a webinar or interviewer if it's a fireside chat interviewJob fair organizer - Reach out to tech companies that are hiringMarketing + PR - Event promotion in our social media channels, other tech communities, and tech mediasSponsorship - Reach out to potential sponsors to secure sponsorship for our events (professional firms, tech companies, etc)

Analyzing Industry Data

Number of individual positions: 1We would like to take on a student to help us fill out our data base that tracks key metrics about companies that operate in the insurance industry. We want to know things like: what part of the insurance industry companies take care of, what partners these firms have in insurance, etc. Through a deep dive of our industry/market, we hope to identify key market trends to assist in our go-forward plans. We want to look at for trends. It is important for us to know where the most promising innovation exists or which areas are slowing down, so that we can act accordingly. We believe that there is enough industry data available to complete a study of our sector. It would be extremely helpful for a student group to look at our industry, identify key trends of growth, stagnation and decline. We are open to all information that seems appropriate and valuable. Using these findings, we would like a detailed and researched report on the market trends that will mean the most to the future of our business.

Looking help for sales planning, research, forecasting

Positions available: 4-5Our organization (Greenii Inc.) needs some help on sales planning, research, forecasting, Sales operations! We are a social enterprise focusing on People, Planet, and profit. Our products are very unique and novel in North America, aiming to reduce the cutting of trees and reuse the papers effectively. We are looking for energetic teams that can help amplify what makes us unique and create better messaging for our brand. This would include identifying areas of improvement and developing a plan for better promotion and brand awareness. This project may combine research, Hubspot (CRM) data analysis, positioning, sales prospecting, social media research, competitor analysis, virtual conversation with the prospects, Sales email creations, and more!Suitable projects in the sales stream include:Sales prospecting. Redesign an Internal HR System / Processes/Forms

Positions available: 2 individual studentsAs our clients continue to grow, it is important for us to help them stay up to date with tools and processes for employee and performance management. We have a desire to focus specifically on job descriptions and competency models as well as HR forms and onboarding. The goal is for these tools to be interactive, user-friendly and relevant to our clients to assist with adoption.We want to use this opportunity to create a preliminary redesign of this tool to ensure targets, goals and performance issues are being documented and called upon. Through this collaboration, we would like to develop a plan that addresses three key areas:Revised job descriptions and career ladders/pathways for each job classificationImproved HR forms to ensure compliance and better utilizationAn improved onboarding process

Podcast for a renewable energy company

Positions available: 1 student as part of 1 teamWe are looking to work with a student interested in helping us create a series of podcasts that are thought provoking and help us inspire individuals to take action with respect to climate change as well as help make the audience more aware of the renewable energy solutions we provide.This individual will be tasked with helping to create enough short podcasts and interviews for us to have a pile to release every two to three weeks throughout the summer and fall. Potential interviewees may include individuals well known in the industry as well as other thought leaders. Our hope is to be seen as a thought leader in our industry by doing this series.The right individual would have some previous experience in setting up a podcast series, with scripting and putting together an interview guide of questions as well as helping with the overall production and editing of the podcast.We look forward to working with you the summer of 2021!
