Production of a Series of Local Wildlife Guides
Students will work with a collection of local wildlife pictures and also possibly sounds collected over many years by Dr. Sally Stuart. Using this collection, wildlife guides will be produced for the diverse groups of organisms. Currently there are very few guides available for local organisms, and for some animals such as common moth species none. The information will be laid out in a poster format on a computer but will be available as a pdf so guides can be readily downloaded and printed. Guides must be extremely visual with clear, simple, professionally written information.
Science Educational Mentorship Project
During the Winter Term of 2024 we will be hiring 9 teaching assistants (TAs) for science courses. Each TA will be mentored by a faculty supervisor for a specific first or second-year science course (e.g. Biology 217, Biology 218, Ecology 318, Biology 360 and Math 251).
